Cash and bank

The money the company actually held on the balance sheet date.

Cash and bank deposits is the most concrete figure in a balance sheet: what was in the account on the last day of the financial year.

It is also a snapshot, and only that. A company can have a good 31 December and a difficult January. The figure says what was there that day, not what is left now.

The Register of Company Accounts' open data service does not publish this line — it gives the totals of each section of the balance sheet, not the items beneath them. Where Overit does not have the figure, the row is blank rather than zero.
