Terms of use

Last updated: August 21, 2026

These terms govern the use of overit.no. By using the site you accept them.

What the service is

Overit Norway makes data from Norwegian public registers searchable and assembles it into company profiles. The sources are the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities and Register of Business Enterprises and the the Register of Company Accounts, kept by Brønnøysundregistrene.

Overit Norway is an independent site, neither affiliated with nor endorsed by the Brønnøysund Register Centre or any other public authority. We are not an official register, and a profile here is not a register extract.

Accuracy

We reproduce what the registers state, and we do not invent figures. We cannot however guarantee that any given item is correct, complete or current: the register can lag, a filing can be wrong, and our own processing can have defects.

If you need a fact you can hold someone to, take it from the source. The Brønnøysund Register Centre issues certificates and register extracts; we do not.

Not advice

Nothing on the site is a credit assessment, legal advice, accounting advice or investment advice. Ratios and scores are calculations over public figures, not a judgement of a business's solvency or prospects, and should not be the sole basis for a decision.

How the site may be used

You may freely look things up and read them. You may not:

  • extract content at scale with automated tools, or in a way that places an unreasonable load on the service,
  • rebuild a competing register out of the content,
  • use personal data from here for marketing, profiling or credit scoring,
  • present the content as though it came from a public authority.

The register data is public and made available under the Norsk lisens for offentlige data (NLOD 2.0). If you want to reuse it, take it from the source — it is open — and credit the Brønnøysund Register Centre. The licence does not cover personal data without an independent legal basis.

Availability and liability

The service is provided as is. We promise no particular uptime and may change or discontinue parts of it.

We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, or loss arising because something here was wrong or unavailable. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or where mandatory law says otherwise.

Governing law

Norwegian law applies and Norwegian courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer you may in any case sue in the courts of your own place of residence.
